4/26/16: Quick email
So I have like 3 minutes to write this so it will be quick. Great week this week. Yesterday we had a super good afternoon and found 3 new investigators in the afternoon. I also got to go to Stake Conference in Tampere and see President Kovisto, the stake president who visited our house last year. Catherine is looking great for her baptism, however we have to push it a week up because ward temple day is on that day and nobody will be there. Did a lot of good finding this week and have been teaching a ton. Have a wonderful week!

Dear Family and Friends,
Great week, Catherine came to church and played the piano in sacrement! She also agreed to live the word of wisdom, so everything is going great with that for her baptism. Also we have 2 others that are also progressing very well towards baptism. We have been doing a lot of Area book work lately and this week we finally followed up with everyone in our area book so now we have a lot more time to find since we have been thinning our investigator pool to find more solid people. We got to go on splits yesterday which was really fun. We ran into some Jehovah witnesses tracting to in our same building which was interesting. We exchanged cards... We also got to find 2 new investigators this week. One was a russian whos uncle is actually mormon in the Ukraine, Kiev. (sorry robert not your area)
Our church also put on the Meet the Mormons with street advertisements and everything. Not to many people showed up, but one of our investigators did and really enjoyed it!
Also we went out to eat with my favorites the Patamos at this new american diner! Good News Mom and Dad! They might rent out her parents home in Utah, so they will be our neighbors for a while!!!!!! but its still a maybe

Dear Family and friends,
Really great week this week. We have been teaching a lot, and most of our investigators are doing really well. We had a powerful lesson last night with someone who had left there baptismal date, and she recommitted to come to church. The spirit was very strong. Also, we have been able to teach all of our progressing investigators which have all been very powerful lessons. This week we have been also doing a lot of less active following up on, and have been I guess you could say weeding out the investigators with no desire to learn, so it gives us more time to find those who want to change! Sorry, I ran out of time at the library again, its hard to respond to everybodys emails! thanks for all the love and support

Super great week this week! Our investigator Catherine we were able to set a baptisimal date with! We have been really busy teaching lately to so we have hardly anytime to find. General conference was super good and 2 of our investigators came both of whom have baptisimal dates and they really enjoyed it! Its also finally spring here. I forgot what it felt like not to be cold and for it to be light at 5pm:) People are also more willing to talk to us on the street since you wont become a popcicle!Sorry for the really short email, i am running out of time on the computers. 3/29/16: Hyvää Pääsiaistä
Really great week this week. We have been very busy, able to teach 18 lessons, so we have been constantly busy lately. Right now we have 14 investigators, we were able to find 3 new ones this week. One really cool investigator is from china! She came to church with us, and I convinced her if I went up to bear my testimony, she would to! So she went and it was so good! I asked one of the bishopric to translate it into finnish because she was saying it in English, and she forgot to stop talking to let him translate, so she just talked in english the whole time and the look on the bishoprics face was so funny. Shes really cool tho! We are also meeting with an Older lady who has been investigating the church for some time. I call her my Mummo, or finnish for grandma. She is such a sweet lady. We have challenged her to baptism, and that she can get her answer after general conference. Cant believe its been 6 months since last general conference!
Also this week in Lahti was this amazing Jesus Christ ministry reenactment. It was very well done!!! Finland picks one city a year to do it in, and this easter they picked lahti. Basically the reenactment happened around town so everyone just followed christ around. 
3/22/16: New area, new baptismal date, small world
Hyvä huomenta,
So the new area I am in is called lahti, its a super cool town, and the ward is really awesome. I realized since I have been in the big city the past 8 months how much more people are willing to listen to you in the small city. My new companion, Elder Robison is really cool, he is from Ephraim, Utah. The first day I showed up we were able to set a baptismal date with a a man named Valterri. He is a super cool guy who is dating a member here, for april. Its a great area to, when I showed up there were 9 investigators and on the way to teaching those we found 2 more on the way.
So I found out how small the world can really be. So a lady named Amber Kelly who is a ward member here, an american married to a finnish guy, apparently lived 5 doors down from my house in riverton. Her parents are still living there. There the house right at the corner of our street next to jeff and the empty lot, but on the stowes street. She knows several people in the ward because they lived and went to our ward in 2010 when they lived in Utah. I found out even that brother antti patomo, the husband, went on a camping trip with all the youth in 2010, a klondike, when I was a teacher so he came with me on the campout! I am not sure if you remember the potomos dad and mom? She says that she knows the simms to because natalie simms used to babysit over at her parents place! Small world!!! But there moving back to utah in september so Ill have someone to practice finnish with when I get back. Amber speaks incredible finnish.
But its been a really great new week in the first area. Right now were just trying to contact everyone in the area book, and we have had success with that so far all ready.

3/14/16: Transfers
Well, im headed up north to lahti, so im out of tikkurila. Super sad because next month 2 of my investigators are getting baptized, and I have definately gotten closest with this ward. But o well, life moves on. My new companion is Elder Robison.
really wonderful week though, both Elina, and Barbara came to church and really loved it. Both of them have the baptisimal dates for next month. Barbara said she would accept the word of wisdom this week, which is huge in Finland because there the number one coffee drinkers in the world!
This week I got to try Blue fin shark. From africa. that was caught in 2014. tasty, it made the whole church smell like rank fish:)
